Our advice when taking engagement photos in Seattle, Washington? Sneak outside of the city to one of the gorgeous mountain towns or national parks outside of the city. They’re the perfect way to escape the crowds and have Washington’s epic mountain views to yourselves.
While Seattle itself is incredible and beautiful, we’re firm believers that you can’t beat the mountains. Places like the North Cascades or Mount Rainier (where these engagement photos were taken) are just otherworldly and breathtaking on the next level. Personally, we’d argue that no location in Seattle could even begin to compare to the mountains. And for good reason.
For starters, you get a level of privacy and intimacy that you might not always get when getting your engagement photos taken in the middle of Seattle. But beyond that, the two of you can really take the time to adventure together, whether it’s hiking, climbing, or driving through the mountains. You just can’t beat it. But anyways, we’ll stop rambling about the mountains. You’ll just have to see for yourselves. So if you’re considering locations for your engagement photos in the general Seattle area, definitely give the mountains some consideration. Trust us, it’s worth it.;
Engagement photos in Seattle in the summertime…a literal dream. The mountains outside of Seattle are basically COVERED in wildflower meadows in the summer months. They honestly make all of the overcast in the colder months in Seattle absolutely worth it. Getting to see the mountains light up with greenery in the warmer months is something you don’t want to miss, and it’s the perfect backdrop for engagement photos.
As it got later, Cameron and Briana wanted to take a moment to relax and really soak in the views of Washington’s breathtaking mountains. We found a little bench, and snapped a few photos of these two hanging out on it and snuggling up on the little blanket they brought with them. As we made our way down the trail, the cutest little deer hung out with us…clearly she thought Cameron and Briana were adorable too, because she insisted on hanging out nearby the until the sun started to go down. Too cute.
One of the things we love so much about Seattle is how close it is to some of the most epic mountains you can imagine. If you’re looking to get engagement photos in Seattle, look no further than the mountain towns. They’re the perfect escape from the crowds in the city.
Once the evening wrapped up and the sun set behind Washington’s epic mountains, we made our way out of the park and back to Cameron and Briana’s cute little a-frame Airbnb cabin. These two ended their engagement photos by soaking in the cute little hot tub on the back patio of the a-frame, with the twinkling string lights hanging above them. Honestly, the whole scene just seemed unreal…the perfect place to get engagement photos in Seattle.
