Let’s be honest, if we could relive Nick and Christina’s Dunaway Gardens wedding again and again, we totally would. It was the perfect mix of fall colors and classic Georgia greenery. Everything about this venue is just pure magic, and it honestly feels like you’ve stepped into some magical novel. Sorry not sorry for being dramatic. I’m sure you’ll see why.
Nick and Christina are good friends of ours, so we were especially honored when they asked us to be their wedding photographers for their Dunaway Gardens wedding. Getting to see our friends, whom we’ve known since they first started dating, taking this huge step together was such an awesome experience. And seeing it from behind our cameras made it even better. While we’ve photographed many weddings, this one was something else. We knew the stories, the people, and the love these two share for each other. And we’ve seen them go through so many stages of life with each other.
Dunaway Gardens has the perfect little cottage to get ready at. It’s this little spot nestled amongst the trees with a beautifully lit front patio and plenty of space for everyone to hang out. One of the many reasons we love Dunaway Gardens weddings.
Before their Dunaway Gardens wedding ceremony, we snuck Nick, Christina, and their wedding party out for a few photos together at the upper ceremony site. The entire area is basically an ivy-covered amphitheater. SO pretty. And the sun made a little guest appearance, peeking out in between the trees and brining in the most gorgeous warm light.
Dunaway Gardens probably has of our absolute favorite ceremony site of any Georgia wedding venue. The greenery-covered, terraced ceremony location is perfect for weddings big or small, and it looks like it pretty much came straight of a storybook.
Watching these two share the stories of their years together during their vows and the way they were loved on by their friends and family was one of our favorite parts of the entire day.
After their Dunaway Gardens wedding ceremony, we took Christina and Nick around the gardens for some couples photos. What we love about this venue is how many little hidden nooks and greenery-filled hideaways they have that are absolutely perfect for wedding photos. And with their wedding being in early November, the leaves had begun to change around the gardens, making things that much more magical.
As evening started to turn into night, we moved into first dances and toasts at the Dunaway Gardens wedding reception space. Lots of laughs and plenty of memories were shared amongst everyone. I still can’t get over Nick’s mother/son dance with his mom Sophie. They broke it down to Gangnam Style and the entire room lost it. Too good.
The evening wrapped up with Nick and Christina’s sparkler exit out of the gardens and a little champagne toast outside their limo while they said goodbye to their wedding guests. Pretty much the perfect ending to the perfect garden wedding.
